Common questions about KSLT, membership and tournaments
Joining KSLT
At least six months of playing experience, the ability to keep score, and tennis kit: a racket, clothing, shoes for the court surface — clay or hard — and a cap if the tournament is outdoors. Before joining it is worth asking a coach: they will tell you which category you are closest to.
Everything is done on the website or in the app:
- Register on the KSLT website or download the app — Android on Google Play, iPhone on the App Store.
- Fill in your profile and choose your category.
- Pay the membership fee — annual or monthly.
Nothing else is needed: after payment you are added to the KSLT database automatically, and access to the rankings, tournaments and statistics opens straight away. There is no need to send receipts to anyone.
The fee is paid monthly or for a whole year at once — the annual one works out cheaper. Current amounts are on the Pricing page, so that they live in one place and never disagree.
Tournaments. Entry to every KSLT tournament: ranking singles, doubles, commercial, away and friendly weekend events. Plus priority at registration when there are fewer places than players, and a reduced tournament fee.
Rankings and statistics. A place in the overall rankings, the history of all your matches, win-loss statistics, recent form and head-to-head records.
Discounts. On coaching, court rental and sports-centre services — from the partners who offer them.
The app. Tournament notifications, battle challenges, live match scores and a personal account with your membership.

KSLT is more than tournaments. Behind the scenes there is work you do not see from the court: talking with players and handling feedback, new formats, negotiations with sponsors and partners, accounting and reporting, keeping the site and domain running, buying balls, design and merchandise. The membership fee is a contribution to the community everyone shares.
Membership runs exactly for the period you paid for, and without it you are not admitted to ranking tournaments. If fees go unpaid for six months, the player leaves KSLT membership and the rating is frozen. You can come back at any time by paying the joining fee again. More in the Rules, section 02.
Playing level and categories
A system for rating playing level. It exists so that you play against equals and enjoy the match instead of a one-sided rout. «I play, but what is my level?» is the most common question before a first tournament, and NTRP answers it.
Judge yourself honestly — it affects nothing except how much you enjoy the game:
Futures
2–2.5
Just starting out. Shots are inconsistent and rallies are hard to sustain. If you are new to tennis, that is normal.
Challengers
3–3.5
You hold a rally, you have become consistent, you understand the rules and tactics. You have finished on the podium in Futures. For women this level corresponds to the Tour category.
Tour
3.5+
Consistent play, tactics that work, podium finishes in Challengers. A men's category, the lower Masters draw.
Masters
4–4.5+
Confident play, ball control, tactics in both singles and doubles. Podium finishes in mid- and high-level tournaments.
Pro-Masters
5
Trained as a child and played ATF or ITF, but have not competed for several years. Without CMS, MS titles or ITF ranking points.
The final level is set by the organisers — after you have played one tournament or several.

Every category has its own chat in the KSLT Telegram channel — tournament announcements go there.
Futures — you have trained from three months to two years, know the rules, have played few opponents or entered tournaments without winning.
Challengers — you have trained from one to three years, play consistently, often beat your opponents and have entered tournaments.
Tour — you have trained three to five years or more; or played international tournaments above 3.5; or competed in Masters without winning; or trained for two or three years as a child without ATF and ITF.
Masters — you have trained more than five years, play at a good level and win often; you have entered international tournaments above 4.
Pro-Masters — you trained as a child and played ATF or ITF, but have not competed for several years. Without CMS, MS titles or ITF ranking points.
Matching one of the points is enough. If in doubt, choose lower: moving up is easier than playing people who are noticeably stronger.

Tournaments
- You will get a notification about a new tournament in your category in the app and on Telegram.
- Open the tournament page on the site or in the app — it has the rules, date, venue and fee.
- Press «Register». Places are limited and they go quickly.
KSLT members have priority at registration: if there are more entries than places, they go into the draw first.
Post that you are looking for a partner in your category chat or in the tournament chat. Doubles announcements are published in the «Friendly tournaments» and «Doubles» chats and in sponsor-run chats.
To get a reply faster, say three things at once: your playing level, your tournament experience and the format — for fun or for the result.

No, these are different payments. The tournament fee is paid separately and differs per tournament — the amount is shown on the tournament page. Membership gives you the right to enter, priority at registration and a reduced fee, but not free entry.
No. The KSLT ranking is built from singles tournaments. Doubles and mixed — both official and friendly — give no ranking points.
Weekend tournaments — to play for pleasure and to practise. They award no ranking points, and such a tournament is marked «No ranking» on its page. The organiser sets the entry conditions, so check the page of the particular tournament.
